This is applicable no matter what your gender :)
It made me realize that I'm definitely under-marketing myself (I'm kind of lazy when it comes to keeping myself looking sharp -__-||| ).

Thanks for both putting this out there for guys to read and for reminding me to take better care of my looks XD!

Amazing post.

Countless of my friends ask me "Why do you get ready, style your hair, put on nice clothes if all you're going to do is shop for a little bit and relax at home", it's simply because I'm so used to looking my best that it's become normal to me. I'm not saying I walk around with Gucci on or anything but I put on good clothes instead of nasty old clothes.

This also works great because when I 'go for a date' I feel exactly the same as when Im chillin at home, i feel like I'm wearing the same style/hair/clothes/look so i'll feel extremely comfortable with myself.

Desi, the underdressed people will usually laugh to make themselves feel better. It's also a test to see if you're the guy who's trying too hard or you're actually somebody who's worth being dressed that way. The way you respond to them is what shows this. I would ignore them, or instantly chat them up and take up the opportunity to socialize and even practice some banter. It's all in the way you respond, if you're cool with it, they're cool with it.

Stop on.

The idea for using musicians as examples is great.

A lot of people do not understand the power of image. Take a look at Ludacris' first video: 'What's your fantasy' or Nelly's: Country Grammar' and look at both their images of personal brand now. Both now still keep in tune with their original style but have added more sophisticated looks to their brand.

They've stayed true but upgraded at the same time.

People who are in charge of them understand the power of image and if that takes a bit of persuading then so be it. Both artists are now NOT poor.

Keep up the good work.
