Men’s Bracelets: Eye Candy For The Wrist

It’s Wednesday morning at 9am. I wake up, and start my morning routine.

And as I step before my closet, I imagine my body as a blank canvas in which I can communicate the appropriate message for the situations I will find myself in for the rest of the day. I am participating in the language spoken through the non-verbal channels of human interaction.

I succeed in putting together a great outfit, but then I come to a part of my body that seems empty and rarely adorned, my wrists. Rarely do I wear anything on my wrists, except a watch to occasionally add a classy element to my outfit.

This topic must be addressed. I’ve already talked about necklaces, rings, watches, but I want to write about bracelets and how they can complement the rest of your look.

The Bare Necessity

The thing about accessories is that it’s the same with any other piece of fashion that you’re putting on your body-it’s not necessary. We don’t NEED to wear ANYTHING for that matter – although some things bring us more comfort when it comes to protecting us from unfavorable natural conditions. Like a thick wool coat that protects our bodies from the freezing snow. Who knows, maybe the cavemen adapted to unfavorable weather and were fine running around in nothing even during the frigid winters.

But I digress.

The point is that there is no need to feel that you should be wearing a bracelet, or any other accessory for that matter.

It’s just another way through which you can display your personality.

Not having a bracelet can display just as much as having one. It can say that you’re just a natural minimalist. It depends on what works for you. Maybe you have a cool birthmark on your wrist that gets more attention than a bracelet that covers it up. Or perhaps you’d rather wear an interesting watch or ring to get attention.

You could be the guy who likes to display his personality, or the guy that likes to be mysterious until people get to know him through conversation.

A good question to ask yourself is whether or not you want to use a bracelet as another access point in which you can say something about yourself.

For those of you who are interested in using bracelets as part of displaying a your personal style, come along with me as we explore the mystical realm of wrist adornments

Some tips and examples of great men’s wristwear:

GET READY FOR A KINOWEAR IMAGE BLITZKRIEG…

Ok, let’s kick this off:

If you have a small skinny wrist, go for a bracelet that adds weight to your wrist such as these leather band bracelets:

Get a versatile bracelet like this one to match with any casual outfit. If you don’t like wearing a watch, it’ll add some style to your bare wrists.

For that “rocker”  edge, get something masculine and bold:

For a more subtle, refined look:

Anything rubber will be more casual or sporty, whereas metal will be more dressy. A bracelet that mixes the two will be just in between.

As you can see, bracelets can be a small but great way to add an extra tone of flavor to your style.

Cheers,

Jae

Great article and lot of pictures (they are very useful). The problem is that the bracelets that I liked are from King Baby Studio… really expensive.

Great article, really helpful. Now I’m the type of person who likes to wear a watch and bracelet but have never been able to pull off a “stylish” look with both. Do you have any tips on how to be able to wear them both and still hold a sense of “style”? Or is that something you don’t recommend?

I was searching for really cool mens bracelets and came across your website. There are thousands to choose from and a ton of websites. On your demo pictures, I really liked the 2nd to last picture. It is a black rubber with 3 twisted strands and 2 metal trim pieces on it. Where did that come from. I love it! Let me know, I’ll buy that one. Thanks.

I started to get into leather wristbands early this year and I find myself hooked. I love to wear different wristbands and more than one at all times. I have picked up some really unique pieces at UrbanWrist.com, they seem to come out with new styles every week.
