Excellent post, Jae!
I was glad to see it described as a "journey" towards the perfect match - it tells me that I am not the only one having a challenge here, finding my way. In fact, I haven't found a match as good as I'd like yet.

About the thing on power and "concealing the window to your mind" etc. my point of view is that it can also be a drawback to mask yourself behind glasses. Afterall, any chump can do that in order to "look cool".
My point is, it can prevent you from standing out if you really HAVE a good presence and eye-contact. (And miss the benefits you describe in your other post www.kinowear.com/blog/eye-contact).

Personally I'm still looking for the perfect match regarding sunglasses. BUT I prefer only to use them when I actually NEED them.
I can create far more powerful effects with eye contact than what I get from the "coolness" factor of concealing them.
Everything from bantering, challenging to comfort building is amplified with eye contact. (Especially, dark glasses can hurt comfort building).

I agree, and had the same stupid goal (still do!)

I find that if you know what you want and are looking for, then eBay is a seriously good place to look. You have to know what you want and how it fits though.
