Upgrade Your Fall Jacket

Happy Halloween everyone!!!

Some of the little kids out there are like Satan’s spawns, I almost lost a hand earlier today giving out some candy. I have so much leftover candy. I shouldn’t have bought so much. Nobody goes trick-or-treating anymore. What am I supposed to do with all this candy! I never eat candy these days.

Anyways, for those of you who read this blog… have you been cultivating your own unique style? Are you leaving your comfort zone and improving the reaction that women have to your appearance? You’re not one of those guys who just reads this blog for entertainment are you?

The fashion police will come after you…

“Do I have to use my handcuffs?”

The weather is obviously getting colder here in New York, and it’s beginning to get close to that time where every man needs his jacket wherever he goes.

Upgrade Your Fall Jackets

Now any normal jacket that keeps you warm and comfortable pretty much covers the requirements of a functional jacket, but what about the guys who want to be “ridiculously good-looking” at the same time?

There’s just something about cold weather and a well-made coat that makes a man look sexy. I can’t really tell you why, I can only tell you the right coat gives a man bulk – which makes him look powerful on a subconscious level.” - Isabella Snow

Not having the proper jacket can ruin what can otherwise be a nice outfit, it can make your well put together outfit underneath look like a mess.

Colder Weather = Another Layer To Showcase Your Personality

Your jacket will be the first thing people see when you step out of a room and into the cold this fall.

A jacket can be considered the wrapping paper of your outfit. To be as presentable and fashionable as possible, you want to keep that jacket stylish.

Most of all, you want it to convey your unique personality, along with your access to resources. That means displaying you have access to the latest trends, styles, and up to date information.

It could also mean that you have a lot of money, and have enough to spend on clothing. It doesn’t actually have to cost a lot, it should just look damn good on you. This shows alpha male characteristics and that you are able to provide a variety of value to a woman.

You’d be surprised how a woman and her friends will respond to a guy who looks high value. Some of the guys I know get make-outs after the first 30 seconds of interaction, and the girl’s friends are totally okay with it.

She doesn’t even know you! She thinks she does though, because she can instantly categorize you as a sexy guy.

A jacket can also be the showoff piece of your personal avatar.

Take for example…

The Leather Jacket

A leather jacket ALONE will instantly make a woman put whoever wearing it into the “biker guy,” or sexy “bad boy” category.

So wear a leather jacket if you want to convey a more dominant attitude.

Be well groomed, and back it all up with an alpha attitude, and you’ll spark attraction in no time.

Hollywood always shows that in our culture a leather jacket is the staple of “cool”. It always carries with it, a tough attitude, and a bad boy edge.

The Suede Jacket

Another form of leather, suede, is also big this season. Suede jackets are big in earth tones, especially black. It’s the leather look with a classier touch. Women love the feel of suede on a man.

A lot of women have told me they love the smell of leather. Women tend to associate the deep rich smell of leather to masculinity.

Sexy Boyfriend Material The Pea Coat

The pea coat was originally worn by sailors of the European navies. Pea coats always manage to make any man looked refined. It’s clean-cut but still carries that tough masculine weight with it. It’s like your a navy sailor ready to defend her from harm.

The classy coat shows you are style savvy and is bound to get women looking in your direction. I personally know a lot of women who have gotten their boyfriend a pea coat. Women just love the way these coats look on a man. Wear one this fall throughout the winter and it’ll be code for “I’m a good catch.”

The signature pea coat always has two columns of buttons. Along with the classic black, they usually come in other great colors such as rich charcoal gray and camel color.

Routines For the Cold Weather

Of course, gotta give you guys some material that I personally use with great success rates…The cold weather gives you many opportunities to get closer a woman. The cold makes a woman more caressible, kissable, and lovable, all because she’s dying for some warmth. Sorry for those of you who have warm weather all year around. This still works when it’s chilly out.

1. Whenever I’m on a date with a girl out in cold weather, I just grab her cold hands as soon as she mentions “cold” or looks it, and I start warming them up by rubbing them together. This is a great way to get her used to you holding her hands.

Then I take one of her hands and place it into my jacket pocket, still holding on to it as we walk. Women always seem to find this very romantic and cute. Give them a sly smile with direct eye contact as soon as you do this, because acting like nothing happened will make them feel uncomfortable. Instead, the smile and eye contact acknowledges the moment, and shows here that it was deliberate. This displays confidence and builds comfort and trust. She will definitely find you sexy after this.

2. If you have a big enough jacket, here is an easy way to get a woman to have some fun and get her laughing:

Open your coat and welcome the girl into it whenever she seems cold. This obviously doesn’t work out if she’s already wearing a thick jacket, but it’s perfect if she has on something form fitting. She can hug you tight while you wrap around her with the flaps of the jacket. Tell her she can try to fit her arms through your sleeves while you’re still in them. It’s hilariously fun to get trapped in jackets with cute girls, it always gets a lot of giggling from them. Try tickling them when you have them trapped. That’s the best.

3. After you’ve built up some great attraction with kino and fun, and you want to go for a kiss…If you have a scarf, wrap it around her neck and tug her softly towards your lips. This always works to seamlessly segue into a romantic kiss.

If you don’t, give her a warm hug and kiss her on the cheek. Keep kissing her on the cheek throughout the date till you catch her staring at your lips. Stare into her eyes, then at her lips, then back to her eyes, (this builds tension) then slowly but confidently go in for the kiss.

Diesel has some great scarves

The Denim Jean Jacket

Jean jackets present a great advantage for men who want a versatile jacket to go with every outfit. They also make an outfit more casual, an attribute that can be considered both an advantage (for those nights on the town) and a disadvantage.

Denim jean jacket Hip-Hop style:

Rocawear Denim Jacket

Speaking of hip-hop styles for the fall…

Rocawear Jacket

Women who love the hip-hop style have said that they love these type of jackets on their men. I’m sure lots of women will want to touch that fur.

This fall… go for a jacket that catch attention:

For example this Bround Sound Donovan Coat is not something you would see everywhere and it would instantly show you have great taste in style.

Rocker Jackets & Hoodies

This jacket definitely peacocks with it’s eccentric artwork.

You can create a jacket like this as a tribute to rock & roll by buying a cheap jacket on ebay, and adding patches and pins to it. Whoever did this did a great job putting it together.

Energie Sweater You can put together a great jacket & hoodie combination by taking a normal jacket and adding a contrasting color hoodie underneath. Pull the hood out and behind the jacket, creating a more casual but sporty look. There are also jackets with a hood already attached.Example:

The Trench Coat

Another great way to grab attention is to wear a trench coat. The trench coat is always a fall staple.

So this fall, find the jacket that quickly displays your unique personality just like your other clothing, so that you won’t have your old, bland, out of style jacket mute the well put together style you have underneath it.

Stay warm,

Jae

How To Groom Your Eyebrows

Hahaha. This movie (40 Year Old Virgin) is hilarious.

It’s funny how for most men, “grooming” seems to be more of a big event than a normal part of their self-maintanence; like brushing their teeth, showering, etc.

It’s clear that some parts of society will frown upon men who pay too much attention to their grooming habits. Grooming is better associated with the metrosexual guys and the gay community.

The truth is that all men know the inherent benefits of being well groomed. It’s evolutionarily wired into human behavior to be more attracted to people who look healthier and more appealing. The only difference is that gay men have more social acceptance in paying extra attention to their appearance than straight men.

Screw that idea, and pay more attention to your personal grooming habits. You have to make the most of everything you have - taking care of your grooming habits will tap into your greatest potential for looking healthy and appealing.

We all have our opinions on what is acceptable for men - the way they should fit into their gender roles and stereotypes. Times are changing, and the women today pay a lot more attention to a man’s grooming habits than ever before.

All of my female friends have confirmed that no matter how unattractive a man is, if they are well groomed, they always catch their eye. The more details in hygiene and grooming a man fails to take care of, no matter how attractive he man is, the more points lost in a woman’s eyes.

Paying attention to your grooming will only increase your attractiveness.

Today I will talk about eyebrow maintenance.

Eyebrows are so important in framing your whole face. It makes you look polished when well taken care of.

Of course it depends on your current brow situation.

If you have really bushy eyebrows, you might want to consider having your brows waxed professionally to get exactly the shape you want.

Then you can more easily tweeze the strays as they grow in.

If you have ANY hair above your nose, it MUST GO.

Unibrows are highly unattractive.

If you want to do it at home yourself, it’s highly recommended that you do not shave it.

It’s proven that shaving doesn’t make hair grow in thicker or faster; Although hair will still look thicker because the ends are no longer naturally tapered but blunt. It may also cause the hairs to grow out in odd messy directions.

A better option would be to buy yourself a nice pair of tweezers, the better the tweezer the better it will be at grabbing fine hairs. There are tweezers on the market that are specially designed for tweezing eyebrows. They cost a bit more but make the experience less painful. You can find a nice pair at your nearest Sephora store.

Wash your face to get rid of dirt and excess oil before you pluck, this will make it easier for the hairs to come out.

Make sure you pluck the hair in the direction that it grows. Do not pull them in any direction that you want. Otherwise, the root of the hair gets trained, and it starts to grow in the direction that you are pulling.

As a man, you want your eyebrows to look great but still you want them to look as natural as possible. Overshaping them will only make you look girly and super metrosexual.

If you don’t have any craziness going on up there, and your eyebrows look pretty normal, you only need to take a few steps to make them look better.

First, brush your eyebrows up from the bottom with small brush to groom and shape. After you shaped eyebrows, tweeze those hairs that OBVIOUSLY lie outside of the eyebrow’s natural shape. One hair at a time. Last step is to trim them gently with scissors over brow brush that helps you control brow length.

And that should be enough for the most of men.

Here is a quick video I found for you visual people, to demonstrate how it’s done:

VideoJug: How To Tame Hairy Eyebrows

For those who have very faint eyebrows, and want them to look thicker, and stronger, check out this website for examples on using filling them in:

http://www.eyebrowz.com/mens/eyebrowstatement.htm

(the powders seem to work best for a natural look)

If you don’t want to do it yourself, you can always get them waxed at a salon, or threaded. Threading your eyebrows gives you a better result than waxing or plucking because it pulls an entire row of hair from the follicle to achieve a more straight-looking line of hair.

Keep yourself well groomed!

Blazin’ Blazers

The weather has been crazy here in New York. It’s freezing one day, then women are hopping around in their mini-skirts, attempting to stay cool in the heat the next day.

Well, if it gets cold out and you have to wear a jacket, might as well be damn stylish. How about a blazer?

Blazer Fit-ness

A blazer doesn’t have to look flashy but it should still look damn good on you, and to make sure of this, pay attention to the FIT.

If the jacket is drapes over your shoulders like a curtain, or your blazer looks more like a cape, then it’s obviously not the right size for you.

Not having the right fit can make a jacket look cheap and tacky. This is not an area where you can afford to be “ghetto” and wear bigger sizes.

Although sometimes I rather like big jackets because you can hide a girl in there.

But I digress.

Any blazer will look 10x better if it fits and hugs your body.

If you’re picking one up at the store, do NOT leave the store until someone measures you and absolutely makes SURE it’s a great fit.

Be meticulous about it and take advantage of their job is, after all, your bringing money into their store. At least leave with certainty that the blazer fits well enough for a tailor to tweak in the future if needed.

Tip: Cultivate a great relationship with a great tailor. He/She will eventually get to know your body and can make your clothes look PHENOMENAL. The faith you now have in your tailor will save you hundreds of dollars through your new opportunity to take inexpensive clothing and magically alter them into stylish masterpieces. Everyone will believe you spend a fortune on clothes because of how damn good you look.

Why It Peacocks

At any social gathering, the guy with the “upgraded” piece of clothing is always noticed over those wearing just shirts and pants alone.

At the least, you should be a step ahead. A blazer is one of those great items that give you that edge. If blazers aren’t for you, the key is to have a shirt that is way different that the rest. The least you can do is wear a vest, it stands out!

You COULD also go shirtless to get noticed, but don’t tell anyone you got that secret from me.

The blazer is a loaded fashion piece. It’s a “sportscoat.”It’s a renegade suit jacket. It’s a cultural symbol for intelligence and wealth. It’s suave, classy, formal. Now, take it out of context, add graphic tees, wear it casually with a hoodie or jeans. You will stand out from the other clubheads.

If you really want to stand out and have a refreshing look, try sporting a WHITE blazer. Over half of the people in an event wear dark colors to stay safe, and your absence of color will transform you into the angelic, life of the party that you are.

A good way to tell if someone is confident or not is their willingness to get NOTICED. It conveys that they are used to the attention - social proof.

If you’re going to stand out back it up with confidence, make sure you’re being social. You are bound to get all the other girls in the room staring, and they’ll see all the others girls staring too. You will be the Glorious Lord of the party.

My Wallet Is In Pain

Trust me when I tell you that a blazer is a good investment. Every man should have one in his closet. It commands women to look and compliment.

If a blazer costs you about a hundred bucks, would you pay a fee of twenty dollars every outing to make a clearly better first impression?

This is something you can wear for YEARS. Just keep it clean and store it safely. After five parties of looking like a stud and getting the entire venue’s attention, you’ve already reaped on your investments.

It’s tough to find quality blazers at a reasonable price, but here’s what krypos had to share with us on the Kinowear forums:

“I wanted a sick blazer for a while, but I only wanted it to screw around in, just casual wear, and I don’t come from money…… so I was always on the lookout for something decent, but cheap. heres how I did it:

I went into mens warehouse to get measured and see what size I was. they did this for me when I walked in and asked. They also had me try on about 5 different blazers. It was nice, I got to see what looked good, etc etc. and I had someone in the know telling me about it.

I didn’t buy anything there. instead, I went out bargain hunting. I have found Ross to be excellent for bargain hunting. about 2 weeks after i got measured at MW, I was in a Ross, and I found a Perry Ellis 3 button black blazer, my exact size. retail price: $120, Ross price: $35. I tried it on, it fit perfectly, and so I bought it.

I’ve done this with a few different types of things. I wear a lot of dress shirts, so I figured out what size I was, and then I went and bought a bunch of different ones for cheap at Ross. They usually have mid-level brand names there. depending on what you’re looking for.

I suggest everyone at least go check them out, its way cool. note* it does take some time and patience to do….. since its like…… bargain hunting. its different is all I’m saying.”

krypos, I respect you a lot for taking the initiative to go out and find great bargains, along with paying detail to your look. This is the attitude everyone should have!

Thanks for sharing with everyone krypos!

How Many Buttons Do I Close?

Unless it’s a 1-button suit, never, ever, button the bottom button. It’s just for decoration and it’s too low on your hip to button properly without making the jacket buckle and make it difficult to walk.

On a 2- button suit button on the top button. On a 3-button suit button the top 2 or the middle 1 (Resist all temptation to button just the top button or risk arrest by the fashion police)

On a 4-button suit button the top 3 or the middle 2.

6 or more buttons? Either leave the coat open or button all but the lower buttons placed where the coat begins to flair out near your hips.

If you button all the buttons you just look a little too buttoned-up. Most of you aren’t going to wear a jacket with 6 buttons just forget that and remember to NEVER button the bottom BUTTON!

When you sit down unbutton your buttons, so that your jacket hangs better. This is proper etiquette.

I think I said “buttons” a million times.

BUTTONS!

How to Rock It In a Full Outfit

Theory says try this:

“Rock a bold graphic tee, a tasteful charm necklace, some dark designer jeans, a white belt with a daring belt buckle, some sleek white shoes/sneakers, and grace it all with a sweet white blazer. see if that gets you some looks.

For the stylishly adventurous: Try pairing a nice hoodie with a blazer. Let the hood rest evenly on the collar, giving you a confident, unconventional, yet damn stylish look. Remember this rule: those who dare to gamble with clashing styles and pull it off come off as extremely fashion-savvy & attractive. However, those who miss, fail miserably and loudly. so tread carefully..

Collar In or Out?

Trust me when I say keep it in. Unless you have a time machine and the dial says 1975, shirt collars are meant to be kept in under the lapels of your jacket.

Here is a female opinion:

“Do not wear collars on polo (or any)shirts ‘up’ or out. It does not look cool, ever. It shouts, ‘look at me, I have extra time in my day to turn my collar straight up so I can feel cool.” It’s not the ’50’s and you are not the Fonz. (And doesn’t he look stupid in Happy Days now, what with his cameltoe or balltoe in those tight pants?)The guy beating your ass for your upturned collar,…he’s cool.”

Uhm…yeah.

Just keep it in, don’t be a fool.

Here are some kick-ass blazers if you really want to “peacock” and where you can get them:

Dragonfly Clothing Navy Blue Velvet Blazer

Morphine Satin Trim Blazer

This blazer might look normal at first glance, but the satin lapels and the unique design in the back gives it those extra suave touches.

Tattoo Art Winged Skull with Crown Cotton Rocker Blazer

These are all great for the guys who sport the ‘rocker’ look, but what about the other guys?

You don’t have to get a blazer with a design on it, I put these up because they aren’t easy to find like your normal blazer.

These blazers definitely “peacock” and make you stand out. If you walked into a club or a party with one of these on it would definitely turn heads and gain admiration.

Most of these blazers don’t come in enough sizes, which is why sometimes shopping online is a pain.

Next time you are at the store go try some blazers on to see what styles look best on you. At least get yourself measured like our friend krypos.

If you’re short on cash, the GAP has some blazers that are in the eighty dollar range. My buddy Method somehow managed to coax the manager in to giving him the last one on the manikin for $40!

5 Tips On How to Find the Right Hairstyle

Poor Sanjaya never got to read this article before he went up on stage that day.

Why Should Anyone Care About Hair

If you’re a style savvy guy, then you already know that just taking care of your clothes and shoes aren’t going to cut it.

A lot of guys forget about the stuff that’s on top of their head. Or for some, the stuff that’s starting to disappear. Whichever boat you’re in, remember that how it looks matters!

In high school I used to just throw on a hat everyday and feel that I was well on my way - I didn’t even care.

I have since learned that hair can be considered the main component in the completion of our look. I mean have you ever seen someone who got a totally new haircut, and it seemed to completely change their look?

Compare the difference on Edward Norton:

Deciding which hairstyle to take on is a difficult decision, since it can completely alter one’s appearance, for better or for worse.

So YEAH it matters. Some people I know go as far as to say “Your hair is everything!”

After seeing that a lot of guys seem to be wanting advice on hairstyles, it’s also clear that most guys don’t know where to start.

I am no hair professional, but as an image consultant my desire is to always create connections with great hair stylists in as many areas as possible, to refer to my clients. I wish I could work with all of you individually, but that’s not possible at the moment, so with the help of some experts out there I have put together an article that will help you guys be well on your way to cultivating your pimp hairstyle.

Because everyone is so different in their hair color, texture, and thickness, I’ll write an article that can be helpful to everyone.

Here are 5 tips to help anybody enhance their current hairstyle, including those looking for a transformation in hair:

1. Determine What You’re Working With

Lots of guys just try to find out what’s popular and in-style. That’s great, but there’s no guarantee that copying the latest celebrity heartthrob’s hairstyle will have girls swooning.

So what does that mean for you?

It means that it all depends on your head shape, hair texture and facial features; it’s therefore important to get the haircut and style that’s specifically suited to you.

Even though you may really want a specific hairstyle, sometimes you have to accept that it won’t work for you due to your hair texture or head shape.

I see a lot of guys who fall into “the grass is greener on the other side” trap. Guys with curly hair who are dying to have straight hair, and vice versa. Many women fall into this trap too. We always want what we don’t have.

Well I say stop wasting your time.

Unless you don’t mind wearing a wig, be grateful for what you were blessed with and make it look the best that you can.

I stopped comparing myself to the models a long time ago; why would i want to be like them? I want to be me and have everyone love me for who I already am, not who I want to be like. Every detail of you is all part of who you are, it’s what makes you unique!

The main reason why people are jealous of their friends who are born with a different texture of hair is because it seems that they can create a whole bunch of exciting hairstyles that they don’t get to.

What most people don’t acknowledge, is that it’s really because it just looks GOOD the way that person styled it!

If you have curly hair and your friend has straight hair, are you still going to want his hairstyle if it makes him look like an idiot all the time? You really want his hair because you think it looks more “attractive” or “a lot cooler than what I have to deal with“.

The key is to first accept what you have to work with and then create the best look you can.

This is what other people will notice instead of what “kind” of hair you have. So stop the complaining and start loving yourself, instead of giving yourself more limitations than the world already tries to force on you.

2. What Kind of Hairstyle Do You Want?

After you’ve determined what you are working with and what your limits are, decide what changes you’d like to make that will make you feel more confident about your hair.

A great way to get some ideas is to ask your family and friends. Ask them if your current style suits you the best, and if any, what changes could you make for it to look even better. If they suggest a change, ask them for some recommendations on what would look more attractive.

It’s funny how some friends will instantly jump at this chance to tell you things that they have been dying to…

Some of the feedback you get will be great, but be careful, because some times the suggestions won’t suit you. This is because most people give you suggestions of hairstyles they’ve seen look great on OTHER people, not yet on YOU.

People can’t quite picture new hairstyles on you - mainly because they associate your face with a certain hairstyle they’ve gotten used to.

So make sure to ask them why they think their suggestion would look good on you, and who they might have seen it on for comparison.

Another great resource is the internet. Search online for pictures of celebrity hairstyles and look through them until certain hairstyles catch your eye.

I say celebrity because they are so many pictures of each celebrity to look through. It’s also fun to see how different hairstyles change a person’s image.

Find a celebrity that has similar facial structure and features to yours - one that you can best identify with. Try to match the hair color and texture as close as you can. If it’s not happening, look for a celebrity with similar hair texture, as this is the most important in what hairstyles you can actually create.

I know most guys that worry about their hair have “unwanted, unmanageable” curly hair:

Well check out different pictures of Heath Ledger and see what he does with his hair:

Remember that straight hair is not the standard of beauty. There are ways to make that kind of hair look great and healthy. The key is looking healthy.

I have curly hair so maybe I’m biased, but I really believe it doesn’t matter, it’s how to make it work for you. Instead of trying fight it, embrace it.

Guys like Heath Ledger embrace their hair, and girls love them!

There are so many celebrities with curly hair that still look very attractive. They make it work very well.

For some of you guys struggling with your African American type hair, check out how Denzel Washington styles his:

or Lenny Kravitz

If you are balding, or have receding hair line check out what celebrities like Kevin Spacey or Daniel Craig do. Shaving your head might also be a good option depending on your head shape. There was a poll taken of women that said that a shaved head can be sexy.

There are plenty of pictures out there where you can identify with and get an idea for what might best work for you. Go search!

(There are links at the bottom to where you can look through hundreds of pictures of men’s hairstyles)

3. Get Help From the Experts

If you are reading this and haven’t done much for your style lately, then you need to treat yourself.

I say get out of the house this instant and go for it. If one of your goals is to be more attractive and feel more confident around women then this is something that you can do easily.

After deciding on a hairstyle, go to a salon with printed pictures of what you are looking for.

You don’t even have to get a haircut, just ask for feedback if this kind of cut is possible with your hair. Give them a brief synopsis of what you want and ask them for some suggestions.

They will give you great feedback.

4. Take a Risk and Try It Out

“Only those who risk going too far can possibly find out how far they can go.”— T.S. Eliot

After thorough research, you might now want to actually get a haircut instead of dreaming about it.

Treat yourself this time, and instead of going to “Joe’s Barber” – who probably only knows how to do classic cuts – go to a hair salon and see a hair stylist who knows what he/she is doing. I like to get my hair cut by the metro sexual guy who knows men’s hair like it’s his calling from heaven.

If you feel gay going into a salon, suck it up.

If you are someone who is strapped for cash, and would rather get a haircut at “Joe’s” for 10 dollars, well what I recommend is that you go to a salon or a hair stylist ONCE, and then after they give you your new style you can go to a cheaper place to just maintain it.

5. Get feedback and keep trying

After you get your new “doo”, get feedback from all your friends and family. Tell them to be honest and have them compare it with your previous style.

Every time I have done this I have gotten great feedback on whether I should keep the new style, how I can alter it a little bit to make it better, or how to enhance it with certain products (gel, wax, etc.) Through this process you’ll learn to master the best ways to make your hair look great.

Take these steps and you’re well on your way to getting that pimp hairstyle you want!

Try this site if you’d like to see exactly how that hairstyle you want would look on a real picture of you.

Before you click:

You could look through the demos or register to view thousands of different hairstyles on your own face.

I couldn’t find a free virtual one that was any good so you do have to pay to register.

It costs only about as much as a real haircut, so it could be worth the trouble of having to wait for your hair to grow out after a bad haircut - if you’re serious about getting a lasting change of look.

I have no affiliation with these websites whatsoever, just passing along what I found when searching online:

You can also print it out and bring it to a stylist to get the exact cut and style that you want, which is awesome.

Maintaining Curly Hair: http://www.askmen.com/fashion/fashiontip_150/196_fashion_advice.html

It’s amazing what technology and science has brought us today in hair products, so there are lot of things that can be done now if you really want it.

For example, if you have wavy hair you can get a thermal conditioning or a reverse-perm a.k.a. “magic straightening” as most people call it.

My sister does it all the time, because she has wavy hair. She comes out of the salon looking like a Pantene Pro-V hair model.

See what it looks link: http://www.hidyhair.com/before.htm

(I would only recommend this on guys with long hair because it costs a lot of money and it’s not worth doing it on short hair, unless you really want to experience what it’s like to have straight hair once in your life)

It’s most women who do it, because most of them have long hair. Don’t let this stop you though, if you have long hair it’ll feel amazing afterwards.

Random Tip: For you guys who worry about your long or short face…

Longer sideburns can actually make your face look more narrow, while sideburns that are shorter than mid-ear length can have the opposite effect.

Well hope that helps guys.

Until next time,

Important Things You Should Know About Rings

I couldn’t resist putting this video up.

Ah, Lord of the Rings — so much drama over such a tiny thing!

I mean seriously, imagine if one piece of jewelry could change everything. What would happen if there was a ring that gave you the unlimited power of having any women you wanted? What would you do for it?

The biggest war in history will probably arise.

Well, at least the desperate men would fight for it, and all of womankind would fight to destroy it.

I should write the script for that one.

Enough daydreaming, onto the real article…

Lots of guys who are in the community like to wear rings, and for some reason those who don’t wear them feel like they should.

What you need to know…

Not All Guys Can Wear Rings

We’ve all seen people who just don’t seem congruent with jewelry. There are guys who just can’t pull off a ring if their life depended on it. It might be the way their hands are shaped, their overall image, or it’s just inexplainably all wrong.

From my experience, it seems to have a lot to do with the way you carry yourself and the way you are dressed to start with. Experiment with it, because the art of wearing rings is something that you can learn. If you’re still getting negative feedback after a while, accept your fate. You won’t be joining Froto’s gang anytime soon.

The type of ring you wear and how it matches the style of your clothes will be the deciding factor in judging whether it accentuates your look or confuses the hell out of people.

Remember, some people just can’t pull off rings with their look.

A ring wouldn’t do much for Steve Urkel’s look:

It wouldn’t help his image at all, or would it?

Well, maybe if he wore a “Ring Pop”.

What Can The Right Ring Do For Your Look?

The ring itself is won’t do anything for you. But it can be a great add-on to your image if you have other areas of your look managed well.

What these kind of accessories do is give you that extra bit of edge.

Check out Jaleel White — who played Steve Urkel — in this picture:

Whoa, big change. Matched with a completely different and suave image, a few of the right accessories would add that extra edge to his look.
I’m not saying that you need this “edge” — because some guys look better being clean cut and sharp, without all the excess stuff going on.

But others have a strong edgy side to their personality — that can be shown off.

This edge can be sexual; mysterious; romantic; or some loud, fun part of their personality.

Conversational Bits

One thing that always seems to work is playing with your ring in front of people in a conversation.

This works best in a group:

For example the other day Theory and I went out with two girls. While he was speaking to us, (mostly speaking to his target) I sit next to my girl and listen to him intently while flipping my ring from one finger to another.

I see that it grabs the attention of the girl next to me. I knew what was going to happen next from previous experiences.

I decided to try something different — I tried twirling it around on the table in front of me during Theory’s pauses. This works great to hook a girl because it always gets them to want to play with it.

(Tip: Whenever you look like you’re having more fun by yourself with something while other people are just sitting around - they always want to join in) e.g. - a basketball, mini football, paddle ball — they always say “Hey, let me try/see that”.

As soon as she asks to see the ring, I use it as a good time for some hand kino. You could also start teasing her — that her fat fingers will get your ring stuck. It’s fun to tell them that men’s rings look great on them — teasing them on their mannish hands.

Girls always react to this by hitting you or a look on their face like “I can’t believe you just said that.” If she isn’t super hot, she’ll probably feel insecure so assure her that she has beautiful hands.

Sometimes I just playfully compliment them and just start kissing a girl’s hand, as she laughs she gets used to the touch of my lips.

This always makes it easier for a make out. It’s also a great time you could use to segue into a thumb wrestle or other fun games to amp up the playful kino and emotional spikes.

Pick a Ring That Will Accentuate Your Unique Style

Now remember that these are only examples to give you an idea of what to look for:

Search online and look around for some ring.

I’ll give you some examples of what kind of rings match certain styles better than others:

The Rock Star

For those who dress punk, or have the “rock star” look — try these with your graphic tees, bad ass necklaces, belts, and other “rock star” gear.

Classy

These are very masculine rings that go well with guys who like to wear dress shirts, and suit jackets. It pairs well for the classy “money”, clean cut, bold personality. I personally wear these type of rings.

Hip-Hop

Gotta have bling all around.

Unique

These types of rings always get attention and will get people asking about it, I mean look at the one in the picture, I’d comment on it right away if I caught some dude wearing it.

Athletic

These kinds of rings have a “down to earth” feel to them. They match a guy with a relaxed personality. If you’re not the type of guy that likes to wear flashy necklaces, classy dress shirts, or rock & roll type clothing; but dress more rugged with an athletic style - like the Abercrombie look - these type of rings are great for you.

The key is the matte black on the rings - it’s never too flashy and has a relaxed, manly appeal to it.

You could buy these type of rings along with a rubber necklace to create your own unique necklace.

Romantic

If you guys don’t know what a Claddagh Ring is: “Traditionally, if the ring is on the right hand with the heart facing outward and away from the body, this indicates that the person wearing the ring is not in any serious relationship, and may in fact be single and looking for a relationship: “their heart is open.”

Read more about it here: Claddagh Ring

I always see girls wearing these, so who knows — maybe both of you will check each other’s rings out and BAM, true love will flourish.

There are countless numbers of places you can check out rings online, so check them out.

I found one place online that has a variety of rings to make it easier for you guys to look around at the different styles.

Here is the link if you haven’t checked out the ones above yet:

Men’s Rings

They aren’t too expensive; most of these are affordable.

If you want to buy online but don’t know your ring size, go to your nearest jeweler and they can help you figure that out.

Look on Ebay:

Try this place - they have a cool selection of different style rings.

Origin Jewelry - Ebay Store

Shine: a personal caveat

The reason why I chose rings with a dull shine, or a brushed-metal look, rather than brilliant shines, is because shiny rings can look rather tacky with casual wear. Shiny rings tend to go a lot better with more dress-up attire (i.e. blazer).

Color

If you want to go for bolder, more fashionable look, dare to play with colored rings. Just be conscious of color coordinating it with the rest of your outfit.

Lastly, sometimes the simplest and most minimalistic rings can work the best. Notice how Neil Strauss, author of The Game and acclaimed “Pick-Up Artist” sports a simple stainless steel/silver ring on his pinky and middle fingers.

Also notice the width of the rings–they are thicker than your traditional ring (probably ~14mm+) - this adds a bold / unconventional edge to his image. Overall, it works seamlessly with the rest of the outfit while adding that last classy touch to his overall look. Looks like Lisa Leveridge noticed too…

Hope that helps,

Jae

5 Steps to Mastering Your Own Style

So I understand that most of you want to become a master of your own fashion and style.

What does it mean to have your own style?

I love the HBO show Entourage. If you watch this show, you’ll see that all the characters wear certain clothing that pair excellently with their own unique personalities.

They convey a lot of personality through their apparel. In this picture, you can tell a lot about these guys just by looking at their appearance.

You want to gain competence for what style works best for you specifically, and to feel the confidence of knowing that you look good all the time.

It gives you one less thing to worry about and one more thing to feel good about.

You want to know exactly what fits your body type, what colors look good on you, how to look “money” and make women swoon when you pass.

You want to have others wonder why girls can’t stop talking about your magnetic charm.

That’s awesome, who wouldn’t want that? But the real question is how do you get to this level?

The quick-fix solution!

Most people forget that you will never learn anything overnight. It takes a LOT of time to really “get” something. This is a generation of fast, instant, and easy. Nobody wants to hear that something is going to slow, take time, or be hard to get.

It’s all about how bad you want something. You have to know what you want, and why. Then plan, take the steps you need to in order to get it.

Forget the title of this article, who says you have to master it in the first place? All you need to do it take it to the level that you want for yourself.

But the most important is knowing what you want and why, because those who don’t know the answers to these questions will never get anything they really want from life.

I’ve found that you have to have a real purpose for you to stay motivated.

The marketing tactics that have saturated our society make people this way. How did you feel when I listed all the things you should want in the paragraphs above? Did you feel excited? Did it make you want those things for yourself?

It made me exciting just writing it.

Most people don’t get past this excitement, they get a high off of it — giving them a delusion of accomplishment just for having the thought — but never take action.

Everything has a learning curve, but if all you do is chase some sort of outcome because you think it’ll complete you, you’ll be sadly disappointed.

So everything you want something, stop and ask yourself WHY?

Do you genuinely want it? Need it? Will it benefit you in many ways?

Everything that has to do with your first impression are all skills that can be learned. It doesn’t matter what you look like, where you came from, how you were raised. You can learn all the skills to be able to present yourself to any level you want.

When it comes to gaining a skill, the key is to enjoy the process of learning.

But to enjoy the process you have to ask yourself WHY you want to learn whatever it is you are after in the first place.

Not to just chase the end-goal because it sounds nice and because you think you’ll be happier. You have to know why you would be.

Why do you read this blog? Are you genuinely interested in cultivating your own unique sense of style? Do you enjoy learning, and growing — the journey towards your best self?

Or are you just a dabbler in search of the next quick-fix-it solution to a makeover? Everyone else is doing it right?

When it comes to handling their image, most guys just want articles on Dos and Don’ts.

They want somebody to just give them a list of things they should wear and be guaranteed that it looks good and that it will make them attractive to women. They want to know exactly what item they should get, and how to get their hands on it.

They want the quick-fix.

I’m here to tell you there is no such thing and it just doesn’t work that way. Even if you get an image consultant you’re still going to have to take the steps towards implementing everything you’ve learned. You can’t just get consulted and then go back to your normal ways as if everything will just magically take care of itself!

Rarely do most guys take the time to search who they are, what kind of image they want to present, what style they find themselves identifying with the most, and what seems to work the best with their own unique personality and physical qualities.

There is no easy button. Man up. Face the challenges in life. That’s how we grow. It’s what makes getting there sweeter, and worth the effort.

So where do you start?

Here are 5 steps to start you on your journey to most effectively and attractively presenting that SEXY ALPHA MALE inside of you that is dying to get out.

1. Define a clear purpose

The only true motivation is desire.

Nothing can stand against your desire to do something if you have have a clear and very direct purpose for doing it. Most people have no idea why they do some of the things they do daily. They are just going through the motions because they believe they should or have to. This is because they never stopped to think why.

Make every part of your life deliberate.

Ask yourself the ultimate end-all question of “why” for everything you do. I find that answering this question opens up so many doors to new realizations and puts sniper-like precision in everything you do instead of a scatter-brain shotgun blast of hit or miss.

What is Jae’s purpose?

My purpose for pursuing this knowledge and helping other guys is because I know perception is reality.

Do you see a young lady or an old lady?

Let me explain the concept of this so that you are with me here.

Nobody knows who you are inside but yourself. It’s what you do, that defines you. It’s how you look, walk, talk, and act that present who you are to the world.

When you meet a person, nothing you see is absolute. You will never KNOW that person completely. All you can do is take the little information you have and make a whole lot of assumptions and judgments from the way they look, walk, talk, and act.

The difference between your LOOK and the other areas of talking, walking, and acting is that your LOOK is something that people INSTANTANEOUSLY process without even having to meet you face to face. All they have to do is look at you for ONE second.

Depending on the IMAGE one presents people choose to either take them seriously or not seriously at all — with no regard for whatever comes out of their mouth. There are million others ways people treat each other based on their look. I’m not just talking about the physical but your overall image that you present through the way you carry yourself and dress.

The reason being is because of social conditioning, stereotypes, and everything else that life experience has taught us about people who look a certain way.

It’s just the way things are, and you might think it’s sad but the good news is that you can use this to your advantage!

You could act super nice, or super cold, and no stranger who meets you will ever know which type of person you really are.

So this means if dress and carry yourself a certain way, it becomes the basis you give others to start forming opinions from. After people form a first impression of you, anything you do after this is filtered through their perception. Everything you do is measured against this to see if you are congruent to it or not.

Setting a good impression at the moment of sight is critical because sometimes it’s all you get, when a girl passes you by, or you don’t get to speak to her for more than a few seconds.

Sometimes girls ask people who I am and nd will try to get to know me just because of my appearance.

This is what you want in order to further increase your chances with women.

Check out this picture of Clay Aiken, and think about what impressions his image in this picture give you. What does his image convey about his personality?

I have nothing against Clay Aiken, he’s a great guy, but it’s obviously not one of his good days. When he actually pays attention to his appearance, he looks 10x better.

(Uhh, which version of him are women going respond better to?)

With every interaction you have with others you are shaping the idea that they have of you.

Now that you understand my reasons and understand the concept of perception is reality…

Take 5 minutes
to ask yourself “why” YOU want to master your look.

Is it to be more attractive to women? Is it so that people will take you more seriously? Is it to help you get a better job? Maybe it’ll make you feel more confident…

Whatever it is, give yourself some solid reasons so that you really know why you want get this area of your life down.

2. Always Remember That Presentation Is Everything

Theory told me a great analogy once — imagine a jeweler who encases a gorgeous flawless diamond within dull metals to create a piece of jewelry. What happens to the diamond? Would you still think that diamond was gorgeous?

I bet you wouldn’t be able to tell the difference from that diamond and a cheap cubic zirconia. Nobody can tell the real value of it.

But if the jeweler places that diamond in an artfully and beautifully decorated piece of precious metals — in an amazing presentation– it becomes PRICELESS.

Think of yourself as this diamond. How are you going to present yourself?

You want the women to look at you and think “wow, he’s priceless“. We all know that diamonds are a girls best friend. What they don’t tell you is that it’s all about the presentation of the diamonds. You want to have all the advantages you can get in this game, so pay attention to your presentation.

Theory recalled watching a video of himself from years ago when he was on a trip in Asia, where in it he was wearing clothes that were way to big on him, and looked very bland. He now realizes that it conveyed all the wrong messages about him — that he wasn’t fashionable, probably not cool, didn’t have any girls in his life, he was messy and disorganized, bad in bed, and a whole lot of other negative things.

JUST by what he WORE alone people subconsciously made these sort of judgments about him.

3. Set Obtainable Goals

Set yourself goals that are challenging enough so that they won’t be taken lightly, but not too far out of your comfort zone to make you feel overwhelmed.

Take a few minutes right NOW, to figure out what kind of guy you want to present yourself as.

Write down a list of characteristics that come to mind when you think of the guy you want to be. How would you like others to view you?

Then write down some ideas of what this kind of guy would look like. How would he dress? What would his hair look like? How would he carry himself?

After you’ve figured out what kind of style you want for yourself, set benchmarks for yourself.

For example, once a week you could go out and try out the types of clothes that would convey this type of personality. Even if they are outside your comfort zone, see how it looks and feels. Try out other styles that don’t match your personality while you’re add it. Have some fun.

Make sure to bring a camera and take some pictures of you in the outfits so you can look at it again and show other people for feedback.

That’s simple enough right? To go out and try different clothes outside your comfort zone without buying anything.

Another benchmark can be setting aside a day to try all the different kinds of jeans to find what brand, model, size, and different style fits look best on you.

Or try making it a goal to find yourself one cool new accessory by the end of the month.

Do some research online and create clear goals and objectives towards what you want to gain the knowledge about.

Go with a friend for feedback, and have fun with it.

4. Take It Step By Step

The only way to really learn something is to compliment learning with experience. This is very important.

Don’t just read everything on this blog and expect yourself to be a fashion expert. You have to take the action steps, just like everything else. A lot of people want to learn certain skills but they all have excuses and few take action. Maybe you are part of the few that take charge of their lives.

Get out of the house and start implementing what you learn in small chunks. It’s easier to set small benchmarks than to just generally stare ahead at a goal.

Don’t overwhelm yourself by trying to do EVERYTHING all at ONCE. Don’t go shopping with the objective of just “getting yourself a whole new wardrobe”.

You will get nowhere without clear objectives because you will spend too much money on things of which half of you’ll end up returning. The other half you will just not wear as much as you thought. You want to be confident about your purchases and know they look good. This is one of the biggest ways people waste money on clothes. They don’t really know if it looks good but just buy it anyway.

So take it piece by piece.

Devote a month to finding the accessories that best present your personality. Do research online, look at prices, try things on at different stores, make mental notes of what you see on other people that look nice, etc.

Devote the next month to mastering another field for yourself. For example master the knowledge of what colors look best on you. Go to the mall and try on as many different colors as you can and take pictures of yourself.

Post these up on the internet and ask for feedback in the forums, or scroll through them with your friends and ask them for feedback. Ask your family, girls, everyone. Make sure you write down what colors get the most opinions, or at least what kind of colors – bright, dark, warm tones, cool tones.

Then devote the next month to another area, and keep on doing this till you reach your level of satisfaction.

5. Give Yourself No Way Out

Make it very difficult for yourself to get lazy or quit.

There was a point in my life where I had to quit my job and prevent myself from hiding under the feeling of “security” in order for me to get out of the rat race and off my ass — to be forced to pursue my dreams and succeed.

Sometimes emotions get the best of you, and emotions aren’t always in line with what you want. I knew that the only way I would truly be happy with where I am in life, was if I pursued running my own business.

You might want to go to the gym and get fit, but sometimes you don’t feel like going, this is a clear example of when your emotions aren’t in tune with what you really want. Along with emotional discipline, you must help it along by putting yourself in situations where it is hard to fail.

When Julius Caeser sailed over the channel from Gaul and landed with his legions on what is now England, he halted his soldiers on the chalk cliffs of Dover, and, looking down over the waves two hundred feet below, they saw red tongues of fire consume every ship in which they had crossed.

In the enemy’s country, with the last link with the Continent gone, the last means of retreating burned, there was but one thing left for them to do: to advance, to conquer. That is precisely what they did.

If you are really serious about changing your look, then throw away or donate some of the really old clothes that you have that you never want to wear again.

Get rid of all the stuff you already never wear anymore first. This clears up a lot of space in your closet for new clothes. Most people find it hard to part from things, but it’s just something you need to do.

Wipe out the old and bring in the new. Upgrade.

Stop reading and start acting

If this is in line with what you want in life, you now know what you have to do to start on the fun journey.

You know what you have to do.

Do it.
